Emo-pop trio (and sometimes collaborators on this very website) REPAIRS have released a brand new single from their forthcoming album. The single, “Eyes Closed” will be available through all good digital platforms November 15th 2018.

“Eyes Closed” was recorded in Otumoetai, New Zealand in the very same space Flogging A Dead One Horse Town captured their most recent works (Noise Crack / EP 4, Listening Will Cause Death) and the band wrote a pretty interesting blog regarding their experiences.

Of the song, guitarist Martin Phillips remarked that “the lyrics are about how I feel sometimes” without alluding into too much details.

Long standing fans of Phillips work with god bows to math might be the first to indicate that the works of REPAIRS might be a little more introspective – given this is the lyricist who poured into his noisier works the likes of Blind Lemon Jefferson and Helen Of Troy as song lyrics.

The band (Martin Phillips, Nic Edwards and James Milne) hail from the inner-suburbs of Auckland, New Zealand and describe themselves as playing “high-tempo, loud, emotional music together for fun” and for fans of METZ, Jawbox, Unwound and current band du jour IDLES.

Their EP, REPAIRS! THE BAND!  was released earlier this year which included the popular college-station single “Sacred.” The EP is available in limited capacity via. cassette tape from MUZAI Records.
